What turns ability employers on; what turns them off? - careers-employment

According to an twelve-monthly appraisal conducted by the General Connection of Colleges and Employers, these are the most central qualities that employers are looking for in a job candidate, in priority order:

(1) Communiqu? skills;

(2) Honesty/integrity;

(3) Joint effort skills;

(4) Interpersonal skills;

(5) A bright work ethic.

Be sure to highlight those skills in your resume, for the duration of your interview, and in your thank-you letter.

That same appraisal naked the number-one thing that can turn ability employers off -- a job candidate's appearance! Specifically, they cited curious hair color or style, body piercings, tattoos, and bizarre clothing as belongings that most often gave a bad first impression.

What you think is "cool" may be the "hot" permit to the disallow list! So keep your need to communicate by hand under wraps all through the interview, and you'll have a beat shot at being paid the job.
